Objectives of the Course
Medicinal plants are important in the world and in Turkey especially recently. The aim of this lecture is to; 1) explain the importance and value of medicinal plants. 2) classify and introduce these plants constituents. 3) describe the roles of the effective substances on plants. 4) define the usage fields of effective substances. 5) notify the roles, the importance and the evaluation fields of the effective substances. 6) examine medicinal and economical value of effective substances.

Learning Outcomes
1Evaluation of medicinal plants in Turkey and in the world is known.
2Turkey has wide flora of medicinal plants and most of them are endemic is known.
3Students will be learn taking preventions to not consume natural sources of medicinal plants.
4Student will be introduce and classify these plants constituents.
5Student will be learn becoming treatment source of medicinal plants and also usage of medicinal plants in food, dye, cosmetic, parfumery, agriculture and furniture etc.
6Student will be know these group plants which has economical potential can be provide very important addition to economy of Turkey.
7Student will be understant the group of medicinal plant has different properties apart from the other plants.

Value of medicinal plants in the world and in Turkey. It has a wide range of medicinal plants flora of Turkey. Taking preventions to avoid consume natural sources of medicinal plants. Introducing and classifying these plants constituents. Importance of medicinal plants as treatment source. Usage of medicinal plants in medical, food, dye, cosmetic, parfumery, agriculture and furniture etc. group plants which has economical potential can be able to provide very important addition to economy of Turkey.
