Objectives of the Course
1. To increase the students’ knowledge levels about measurement methods and characteristics of meadow and range vegetations 2. To create awareness that besides legumes and grasses families in meadows and ranges, there was the plant species belonging to other families grazed by animals 3. To increase the students’ experience about how to evaluate meadow and ranges vegetation etudes 4. To gain experience how meadows-ranges have an important situation in terms of soil erosion prevention and the animal breeding 5. To gain the correct usage experience of these areas by teaching the vegetation measurement methods of meadows-ranges 6. To create awareness that weed species being harmful to animals may be in meadows-ranges 7. To produce practical methods and to gain skills for the problem solving 8. To improve their necessary levels of infrastructure in scientific studies.

Course Contents
The course contents is to determine the quality levels of vegetations in consideration of this information and to present the theoretical and practical information related to important etude and measurement methods (transect, loop, point-frame, quadrant, cover scale, weight, visual estimation and pantograph) used to measure of qualitative and quantitative, synthetic characteristics of meadow-range covers.
