The aim of this course is to provide advanced knowledge and skills to the students about definition, principles, growing techniques and control and certification systems of organic agriculture.

Definition, history and development of organic agriculture, principles and rules in organic agriculture, improvement of soil fertility via natural compounds in organic agriculture, importance of crop rotation in organic agriculture, control and certification procedures in organic agriculture, organic agriculture from growers and consumers perspective, future of organic agriculture.

9Harvest of crops produced under organic systems, processing, classification, packaging and storage of organic and sustainable crops
10Marketing of organic crops, economic value of organic crops
11Control and certification system in organic agriculture, practice of organic agriculture (recourse, contract)
12Problems related with control and certification system in organic agriculture
13Evaluation of organic production systems from growers and consumers perspective, studies on organic agriculture in next years
14Discussing general situation and problems of organic field crops production in Turkey
