Objectives of the Course
To provide the students to learn the formation process of the History of Religions branch, the Milel Nihal tradition, the scientists who contributed to this field prior to its emergence as a modern science branch, schollars who led the formation of the History of Religion Science in the west and in our country.

Scientists such as Biruni and Şehristani who contributed to this field before the appearance of the History of Religions as a branch of science, the Milel Nihal tradition, the History of Religions in Madrasas, the emergence of the History of Religions as a modern branch of science, western scholar like Friedrich Maximillian Müller, Rudolf Otto, Raffaele Pettazzoni, Anne Marie Schimmel and Turkish scholars such as Hikmet Tanyu, Günay Tümer, Abdurrahman Küçük and their contributions to the History of Religions.
