Objectives of the Course
By introducing students to Islamic Ethics which is an important part of Islamic culture, and its main terms and concepts, the curriculum aims at preparing students to comprehend the main structure of Islamic culture.

Learning Outcomes
1To evaluate the history, concepts, methodology, and representatives of Islamic ethics, and its relationship with contemporary understandings of ethics.;;
2To analyze ethical theories of Islam, and different and similar aspects of Islamic ethics and philosophy of ethics.;;
3To research thoughts affecting construction of Islamic ethics, especially ethical understandings which are constructed in Islamic thought and Greek philosophy.;;
4To examine ethical understandings in the classical literature of Islamic culture.;;
5To compare various ethical understandings in the Islamic thought.;;
6To evaluate the prominent thinkers of Islamic ethics and relevant literature.;;
7To correlate the concepts of value, duty, moral rule and conscience.;;
8To discuss the issue of universality and particularity in ethics.;;
9To investigate the relationship between society and morality, individual and morality, and state and morality.;;
10To have knowledge of Muslim moralists of this age and characteristic of Islamic morality.;;
