Objectives of the Course
This course provides analytical tools to analyze the 3D motion of rigid bodies. The principles of mechanics (energy-based methods) aims to provide relative motion, inertia, kinematics and kinetics, moment of inertia concepts, general 3D motion analysis.

Course Contents
Kinematics of bodies. Rotating reference systems and coordinate transformations, diad of inertia. Newton-Euler's equations of motion. gyroscopic movement. Conservative forces and potential functions. generalized coordinates and generalized forces. Lagrangian equations. holonomic and nonholonomic constraints. Lagrange multipliers. Kane equations. Orbital and spacecraft dynamics.
