Objectives of the Course |
This course provides analytical tools to analyze the 3D motion of rigid bodies.
The principles of mechanics (energy-based methods) aims to provide relative motion, inertia, kinematics and kinetics, moment of inertia concepts, general 3D motion analysis. |

Course Contents |
Kinematics of bodies. Rotating reference systems and coordinate transformations,
diad of inertia. Newton-Euler's equations of motion. gyroscopic movement.
Conservative forces and potential functions. generalized coordinates and generalized forces. Lagrangian equations. holonomic and nonholonomic constraints. Lagrange multipliers. Kane equations. Orbital and spacecraft dynamics. |
