Objectives of the Course
• Expanding the general economic concepts and basic business features necessary to make some use of production resources at an owned frontier, • Ensuring that these animals are taken in the management decisions in livestock accommodation, • To ensure that livestock costs and profitability analyzes can be made and interpreted, • The basic principles and general definitions of the economy and the efficient economic principles of farm animals, • Major production costs, • Business analysis, business location selection, • Marketing, advertising, • General issues such as new approaches in the harmonization process of the European Union. for operational purposes.

1• To teach basic economic terms and management principles which are needed to use limited production factors rationally
2• to provide use of management principles in the problem-solving and decision making process in livestock holdings,

5• to provide the tools to analyses the issues confronting producers, their advisers, planners and policy makers.

• Introduction to livestock economy • Basic Economic concepts • Definition and scope of the Economy • The role, importance and problems of animal husbandry in Turkey and the world economy • Livestock statistics • cattle breeding • Small cattle breeding • Poultry farming • Inland waters and sea fishing • Meat and meat products industry • Production of meat products and other livestock products • Milk processing industry • Production of milk and dairy products • Feed / forage production • Government policies • Employment potential of livestock • Effects of animal husbandry on the environment • Foreign trade of livestock products • EU negotiation process and WTO trade reforms • Supply and supply characteristics of animal products • Characteristics of demand and demand for animal products • Consumption of livestock products • Supply and demand projections of livestock products • Price formation in animal products • Business economics, basic problems of the economy, business and business size, fixed and circulating capital, inflation, deflation • Inputs and supports related to animal production, international relations and harmonization with the European Union, Common Agricultural Policy, World Trade Organization and Agreement • International trade of animals and animal products, international market policies and strategies, problems encountered in foreign trade and solutions • Production costs and marketing related problems of Turkey's animal husbandry and solutions, producer organizations, professional organizations, industry and trade organizations • Marketing, marketing systems (Organizations) and stock management, marketing models for milk, eggs, white and red meat, advertising. • Livestock organizations
