Objectives of the Course

To interpret the materials listed in food labels, to learn macro and micro-compounds in foods and to find out what kind of special functions these structures have and to have the ability of effective written and oral communication.

Macro-compounds in foods (carbohydrates, fats and proteins), micro-compounds (vitamins and minerals) in foods, water as a food component, the importance of “reduction of sodium intake” to be investigated within the scope of term paper
