To enable students to interpret basic biochemical events by combining them with metabolic events.

Learning Outcomes
1Students who achieve this course will gain knowledge, skills, and proficiency in the followings; Demonstrate an extensive knowledge on advanced biochemistry and classification of biological structures.
2Develop knowledge on vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and inorganic nutrients.
3Develop knowledge on digestion and absorption as well as nutrients that resist digestion, and energy intake and expenditure, & regulation of energy metabolism.
4Develop knowledge on efffect of nutrition on cancer and cardiovascular diseases .
5Demonstrate an ability to critically review research papers in the area of nutritional biochemistry.
