Objectives of the Course |
The goal of this course is to develop an in-depth understanding of the economy of Turkey in the 2000’s. The objective of the course is to provide a comprehensive analysis of the major components of the Turkish economy. Students are expected to obtain considerable knowledge on the structure of the Turkish economy and attain the skills required for evaluating the ongoing macroeconomic developments. |

An overview of the post-1980 developments in the Turkish economy, analyses of the 2001 crisis and post-2001 crisis era, developments in different areas of the economy: labor markets, fiscal and monetary policies, inflation targeting, balance of payment, investment. |
