Objectives of the Course
For researcher of the right meanings of the Qur’an today, it is necessary to learn the previous interpretations of the Qur’an [like the period of the Prophet, his friends (sahabah), the second generation (tabeen) and the third generation (atba’ at-tabeen)]. For this aim, this lesson has been put into M.A. program to learn to the student the understanding of the early exegesis period of the Qur’an.

1The lesson teaches that the commentary method is important for understandin the Quran good and right.
2The lesson shows that the Commentary method and Quranic sciences include same subjects.
3The lesson shows that the comentary “mukaddime”s are not at the same degree in accordance of scope.
4The lesson points on Commentary “mukaddime”s in the scope of Quranic sciences
5 The lesson explains Kurtubî, İbn Cüzeyy and İbn Aşûr’s Commentary “mukaddime”s about commentary methodology.

To be able to comprehend the content of the relating exegesis of the Qur’an,To be able to examine the role of the Prophet’s friends (sahabah) in Qur’anic exegesis,To learn that may be related from the same interpreter two or further interpretation about one verse of the Qur’an
