To study the modern period of philosophy starting with Bacon and Descartes, which helps students to develop critical thinking that is fundamental to political thought today.

Course Contents
To teach that modern philosophy can somehow be the language of international culture by showing that one needs it in order to adress human culture. To ground students’ knowledge of leading modern philosophers such as Descartes, Kant and Hegel.
