Definition of sociology, its subject, scope, basic concepts in sociology, study areas.Historical development of sociology in the world and Turkey.The relationship between sociology and other sciences,social groups and their properties.The relationship between the individual and society.Sociological aspects of education,social mobility, status, class and stratification.Examples of current sociological work.
