Objectives of the Course
to help students acquire professional knowledge on program plannning, project preparation and evaluation taking into consideration the fact that the resources are scarce and they must be used efficiently

Learning Outcomes
1Upon the completion of the requirements of the course, the students will be able to; perceive the concepts of program planning, project preparation and evaluation
2determine the subjects of projects especially in the area of agriculture and agribussiness, collect data on these subjects, make analysis of the data to provide a basis for the projects
3In order to achieve an objective, answers the questions of what, where, when, why, how, for whom, by whom and at what cost and record these answers in coherent and comprehesive way to form a project document
4make economical and technical evaluation of the projects and put forward reccomendation to make improvements

The concepts of program, project, plan and investment The characteristics and classification of projects The stages of project planning and formastion of a project Feasibility study in project preparation and market research the methods of demand estimations the study of row material, selection of project site, capacity deternination selection of technology, engineering, bussiness organisation, human resources, quantity of investment, fix capital investment income and expenditures during the operation, implementation of the programs Project finance and analysis of finance, selection of reduction ratio, the criteria that are used in evaluating the projects economical evaluation of the projects, determining the pay-back period and rantability net current value, internal profitability ratio, cost/benfit ratio Economical evaluation of the projects and homework European Union Project Cycle Method and discussion of the homework
