Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to examine current approaches and methods in the field of foreign language teaching in the light of the basic principles they are based on, and to enable the students to acquire the skills to evaluate these approaches and methods from a critical perspective.

Course Contents
In this course, students acquire theoretical and applied knowledge on approaches, methods and techniques on foreign language education. They reinforce this theoretical knowledge by sample demonstrations. They develop their practical knowledge with the help of micro-teaching and video analysis and receive feedback at the end of their presentations. In addition, in this course, students compare old and current language teaching approaches, methods and techniques, and make inferences about how to practise them in the context of Turkey.
