Objectives of the Course
The student taking this course; Will be able to explain concepts such as friendship, team spirit, group climate, togetherness, sense of unity, sense of self, sense of groupness and belonging in small groups; At the same time, he will be able to interpret by distinguishing the types of leadership, the formation of norms and the structural features of norms and the changes in stereotypes. Students will be able to apply the knowledge they learned in the lesson in their interactions with small groups they encounter in their daily lives.

Course Contents
Basic concepts related to small groups such as group cohesion and classification of groups, impact of small group on individual, group structure and process, conceptualization of leadership, sociological and social psychological reasons for examining small groups in explaining social behavior are covered. In addition, the students are given information about the methods and research techniques used in small group research, and the analysis of small group theories, and some examples from small group research are given.
