Objectives of the Course
The course aims to provide students a basic economic understanding on microeconomic concepts and the relation between households, firms and the government. The students will learn how to make analysis and conclusions about the economic behaviour.

Course Contents
The course includes the definitions, terminology and principles of economics, schools, interdependence and trade, markets, supply and demand, elasticity, government policies and control mechanisms, efficiency of markets, the economics of public sector, firm behaviour and organisation of industry, the theory of consumer choice, monetary system, growth and inflation.
