Objectives of the Course
1. To follow the formation and development process of Sufi thought. 2.Determination of the relationship between classical mysticism and modern mysticism.

Learning Outcomes
11 To be able to comprehend the place and importance of Sufism in Islamic thought; 2 The first period of the understanding of Sufism Hz. Being able to connect with the period of the Prophet; 3 Being able to realize the richness of concepts and meanings created by the Sufi culture; 4 To be able to compare the similarities and differences between the thought of Sufism and the understanding of Sufism in other religions. 5 To be able to analyze the relationship between the knowledge dimension of Sufism and philosophical thought; 6 To be able to evaluate the role played by Sufi institutions in the political and cultural field; 7 To be able to analyze and criticize the effect of Sufi thought in the Western world; 8 To be able to produce independent ideas about the reflections of Sufi culture in Islamic perspective; 9 To be able to examine the classical and modern sources that make up the understanding of Sufism; 10 To be able to criticize contemporary Sufi approaches with scientific methods.

Definition of Sufism, its birth and development, terms used in Sufism, especially basic terms such as tawhid, fana, beka, unity of existence, information about sects.
