Objectives of the Course
The objectives of the course are to give information about dairy cattle management; dairy cattle breeds; keeping and analyzing milk records; fundamentals of endocrinology for dairy cattle; calf rearing techniques, housing of dairy cattle as well as milk secretion and handling; milking tecnhiques; factors influencing quantity and quality of the milk.

Learning Outcomes
1Students will be able to choose breeding cows with high milk yield after phenotypic evaluation.
2Students will be able to prepare rations for cows in the different stages of the dairy cows, after learning feding techniques.
3The most appropriate dairy cattle breed will be able to be determined after learning breed characteristics of the dairy cattle breeds.
4Students will be able to learn milk recording systems and to utilize from them for practical purposes in the cattle herd management.
5Establisment of the milking systems and their useage will be able to be learned.
