Objectives of the Course

The objectives of the course are to give information about dairy cattle management; dairy cattle breeds; keeping and analyzing milk records; fundamentals of endocrinology for dairy cattle; calf rearing techniques, housing of dairy cattle as well as milk secretion and handling; milking tecnhiques; factors influencing quantity and quality of the milk.

Learning Outcomes

1	Students will be able to choose breeding cows with high milk yield after phenotypic evaluation.
2	Students will be able to prepare rations for cows in the different stages of the dairy cows, after learning feding techniques.
3	The most appropriate dairy cattle breed will be able to be determined after learning breed characteristics of the dairy cattle breeds.
4	Students will be able to learn milk recording systems and to utilize from them for practical purposes in the cattle herd management.
5	Establisment of the milking systems and their useage will be able to be learned.
