Objectives of the Course
To give enough knowladge to undergreduate students about animal importance, for profitable livestock production, animal raising and population in Turkey, the problems of animal raising,and solition ways, domesticiation, species, breeds, growth and reproduction, animal breeding and systems of breeding.

7Biology of honey bee and beekeeping

9Description and aspect of feed, classification of feeds, digestion and digestive systems of different animal species
10Nutritive components of feeds, metabolism, carbohydrates, lipids
11Nutritive components of feeds, metabolism,proteins an vitamines
12nutritive components of feeds- macro and micro minerals.
13General information about raw materials for feeds: Roughage nad their general characteristics, juicy roughage (green fodders, silage, roughage in pasture and grasslands, dried fodders and hay; natural and artificial drying methods.
14Concentrated feeds as energy source (cereals and oils), general characeristics of protein sources (animal and herbal feeds), feed additives, mineral additives
15Basic information in ruminant and monogastric animal nutrition, nutrients requirement, technnics for preparing mixtures
