Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to theoretically teach the student the development of music from the ancient times to the present day. The history of music includes all civilizations that have existed in the world.

Learning Outcomes
1Learns the student's birth, origin, development and stages within a technological approach. Learns about the music of primitive communities. The student's organological (instrumental) culture develops. Can examine the student's development by dividing it into periods. It has a general impact on almost all concepts included in musical writing and musical terminology. It includes pieces that fall within the scope of music history.

Course Contents
Giving the general objectives of the course and an overview of the history of music. The birth of music. What are the data and findings that can be obtained about the history of music? Examination of the signs and writings indicating music in the historical process. A general overview of ancient civilizations. Ancient civilizations: Egypt. Ancient civilizations: Mesopotamia. Ancient civilizations: Chinese and Hebrew Music Ancient civilizations: Ancient Greece and Rome. An overview of the musical history of the Turkish world (Eastern Civilization) and the Asian period. Turkish world (Eastern Civilization) An overview of the music history of the Anatolian period. Turkish world (Eastern Civilization) An overview of the process of musical interaction in the medieval Islamic world. Turkish world (Eastern Civilization) An overview of the music history of the Ottoman period. An overview of the process of interaction between the Turkish world (Eastern Civilization) and Western music.
