Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to transfer the basic concepts and theoretical approaches related to social psychology to the students on the basis of the relevant literature and to enable the students to better understand daily life and themselves.

1Explain the meaning, scope and function of social psychology
2Be aware of the communication elements in the social and cultural environment and the causes of social behavior.
3Determine the causes of persuasive behavior, the functioning of social groups, and the direction of the social environment's impact on the individual and the environment.
4Comparing the basic contents of social interaction-based courses in the departments of public relations, journalism, radio, television and cinema, they can improve and strengthen the foundations of knowledge.

Course Contents
The historical development of Social Psychology, its subjects, approach, methods, examination of social influence and conformity, attitudes, attitude change, prejudice, attitudes, social roles, status, authority, intergroup communication, culture etc. are discussed within the applied framework of communication and propaganda.
