Objectives of the Course
This course aims at provide knowledge the students on farmstead planning and design; rural settlements planning of several livestock production facilities; planning and design principles of feed and manure storage structures; importance of irrigation and its necessity; water-yield relationships; soil-water-plant relationships; evapotranspiration; irrigation interval and amount of irrigation water; irrigation water quality; irrigation methods.

1Understand importance of agricultural structures for agriculture.
2Make differences between Turkey and other countries farm structures, and measures need to be taken in Turkey.
3Learn farm structures technologies and developments.
4Learn required conditions in different livestock barns and design livestock barns within a certain flow chart.
5Possibilities of applying the knowledge gained from other courses and Get skills and self-confidence of design.
6Learn importance of water, its necessity and water-yield relationships and our countrys soil and water resources potential and sufficiency.
7Learn soil-water-plant relationships and irrigation interval and irrigation water requirement.
8Learn water conveyance and delivery systems.
