Objectives of the Course
To give general information about the history of Islamic civilization and the structure of institutions that emerged in the process, to examine its relations with other civilizations, especially with Western civilization.

Learning Outcomes
11. To be able to evaluate the characteristics of the Islamic civilization among the world civilizations; 2. To be able to analyze the basic features of pre-Islamic cultures and civilizations; 3. To be able to comprehend the effects of pre-Islamic cultures and civilizations on Islamic civilization; 4. To be able to explain the foundations and characteristics of Islamic civilization; 5. To be able to comprehend the point reached by the Islamic civilization during the Abbasid period and the role of the Andalusian Umayyads, which made itself felt especially in Europe; 6. To be able to evaluate the contributions of the Turks to the Islamic civilization and what kind of changes this civilization caused in their culture; 7. To be able to think about the effects of Islamic civilization on the West; 8. Being able to comment on important scientists who grew up in Islamic civilization and their contributions to world civilization; 9. To be able to evaluate about the caliphate and state administration, education, foundation and legal institutions in the Islamic civilization; 10. To be able to evaluate the economic and military institutions and urbanization in Islamic civilization;
