| Level of Course Unit | First Cycle | Objectives of the Course | 1. To introduce the Kyrgyz Turks and Uzbekistan.
2. To teach Kyrgyz Literature with its main lines.
3. To teach the alphabet (Cyrillic) and sounds of Kyrgyz Turkish.
4. To teach the phonetic and morphological features of Kyrgyz Turkish.
5. To enable them to read and understand the texts of Kyrgyz Literature. | Name of Lecturer(s) | Doç. Dr. Nesrin GÜLLÜDAĞ | Learning Outcomes | 1 | 1 Will be able to define the concept of Turkology, explain its characteristics and historical development.
2 Knows the historical development and geographical boundaries of the concept of the Turkish world, has information about the history of the communities that make up the Turkish world, their current situation and their socio-cultural relations.
3 Knows the concept of language in all aspects, recognizes the methods and disciplines of language analysis (linguistics, grammar, philology), and can examine the Turkish language with contemporary linguistic data.
4 Recognizes the dialect groups and literatures of the contemporary Turkish world classified as southwest, southeast, northwest and northeast, and knows the distinctive features of these groups in terms of language and literature.
5 Knows the history of the Turkish language, from the first written documents to the emergence of modern Turkish dialects and their current situation chronologically and together with their works.
6 Can read, explain and linguistically analyze texts written in historical Turkish dialects with different alphabets (Köktürk, Uyghur, Arab etc.).
7 Can read, explain and linguistically analyze texts written in different alphabets (Latin, Cyrillic, Arabic etc.) in contemporary Turkish dialects.
8 Gains knowledge about the dialects of contemporary Turkish dialects, can read, explain and examine the texts compiled from these dialects or written with these dialects.
9 Can transfer between contemporary Turkish dialects.
10 Knows the works and authors of the historical periods of contemporary Turkish dialects and literatures, examines, interprets and compares these texts and discusses them.
11 Knows the works and authors of contemporary Turkish literature, examines, interprets and compares these texts.
12 Have the necessary knowledge, experience and sensitivity about the cultural values and folk literature products of Turkish tribes. |
