To teach the characteristics, representatives and works of Classical Turkish literature between the centuries. | Name of Lecturer(s) | Prof. Dr. Murat Ali KARAVELİOĞLU | Learning Outcomes | 1 | Learns the changes in Turkish literature with the acceptance of Islam and uses the sources of Islamic period Turkish literature. | 2 | Comprehends the literary personalities and works of figures such as Yusuf Has Hacib, Kaşgarlı Mahmud, Edib Ahmed, Ahmed Yesevî and Hakim Süleyman Ata. | 3 | Gains detailed information about the poets and their works in the establishment phase of classical Turkish literature. | 4 | XI-XIV. learns about the political, cultural and literary life that took place between the centuries. | 5 | To have knowledge of poets who played a role in foundation phase of Divan literature. |

Turkish literature and the first poets that started to emerge in Anatolia in the century; XIV. century old Turkish Literature; XIV. The features of the 19th century Turkish literature, the important representatives of this period and the examination of sample verse-prose texts from the works of these representatives: Yunus Emre, Şeyyad Hazma, Kadı Burhaneddin, Hoca Mesud, Ahmedi, Nesimi; XIII-XIV.
