Objectives of the Course
To develop students’ understanding of English grammar and pronunciation, and expand their range of vocabulary. To improve students’ overall ability in basic language skills(reading, writing, listening, speaking). To provide students with the opportunity to master the language skills necessary for their daily and academic purposes.

1The individuals who are major in their field and experienced are being grown as dependent on main principles of Republic of Turkey and convenient for the main aims of Turkish national education system.
2Students can deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
3Students can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest.
4Students can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
5Students can handle successfully a variety of uncomplicated communicative tasks in straightforward social situations.
6Students can follow and comprehend international publication for their academic purposes.

Course Contents
With sufficient exercises, the targeted grammatical topics are attempted to put into practice. Dialogues are used to consolidate the grammatical topics studied and to see these structures in daily language. With reading passages and vocabulary studies, the topics are handled in a larger scale and students’ reading, writing skills and vocabulary are developed.
