Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to give information about the design of highway projects, the capacity of urban and non-urban roads, the design principles of road geometric elements and the place of transportation planning stages in civil engineering.

History. Introduction of highway elements. Characteristics of road users. Vehicle movements and general characteristics of road traffic. Capacity of roads. Selection of road geometric standards. Survey of the route. Plan and horizontal curves. Long section and vertical curves. Road Project.
