Learning Outcomes
1Understand the laws of statics as evidence by the ability to identify a given description or formulation.
2Recognise and understand the different load types.
3Recognise and appreciate the structural response of simple, pinned, roller and fixed support types.
4Understand the fundamentals of static equilibrium.
5Understand the structural behaviour of truss frames and three pin frames.
6Determine coordinates of centers of gravity for volumes, areas and lines.
7Aware of the friction between rigid bodies.
