Objectives of the Course
In this course; It is aimed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to apply these techniques by providing information about basic molecular biological methods and application principles that enable structural and functional analysis of molecular structures in the cell.

1Explains the concepts of gene, genome, chromosomes, DNA, RNA and protein synthesis at molecular level.
2Explains nucleic acid and protein isolation methods and applies them in laboratory studies.
3Explains the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and other PCR methods and applies them in laboratory studies.
4Applies electrophoresis and modified methods in laboratory studies.
5Explain the basic elements of Western Blotting and ELISA methods and apply them in laboratory studies.
6Explains the concepts of gene expression and control, sequence analysis.
7Explains cell culture and flow cytometry methods.

Course Contents
In this course, the main elements of molecular biological methods, working principles of devices, nucleic acid isolation, polymerase chain reactions, electrophoresis, blotting and hybridization methods, protein isolation, SDS-PAGE, western blotting, transformation, transfection, cutting with restriction enzymes, ligation reactions, ELISA , cell culture and flow cytometry topics are shown in practice and the applications of these methods are made by the students.
