Objectives of the Course
It is aimed to give information to the beginners about the basic concepts of law, what the law is and how it should be. The general concepts of law, which will be the subject of examination of the rules such as justice, ideal and equality of law, respect for human rights and state being a state of law, will be tried to be explained in a system under general view of law.

Learning Outcomes
1The concept of law, the legal system, the sources of law and sanction are informed to the students.
2Students will have knowledge of the Turkish Judicial System, Judge independence and the impartialities of the courts.
3Concepts of rights and personality, rights seeking process and human rights issues become aware of the students.
4Students; engagement, marriage, property regime, relationship and custody-guardianship.
5Basic definitions and terminology related to the structure of the human being.
6 Heritage taxation and probationary period Students are informed about property, possession and title deeds.
7Students understand the relationship between the legislative, executive and judicial powers of the state and each other.

Course Contents
This course examines the subjects such as the definition and characteristics of the rules of law, the sources of the positive law, the application of the laws, the branches of law which fall within the scope of the public law, the branches of the law within the scope of private law, the sanction of the rules of law and the Turkish judicial system, the interaction with other rules governing life; an introduction to the legal science will be made in general.
