Objectives of the Course
To inform the students about orthosis applications and to make the students use the orthosis in the rehabilitation of patients. A student who successfully completes the course will be able to decide on the indication of the orthotics, to choose the appropriate orthosis, to be able to make assessments before and after the orthotics, to be aware of the different orthotic materials and ready products, to know the possible complications of orthotic applications, to plan the appropriate treatment program to increase the effectiveness of orthosis and rehabilitation. apply.

Biomechanical principles of orthoses; assessments before and after orthosis; use of an orthosis for various segments of the upper, lower extremity and spinal region; orthosis approaches in various injuries, musculoskeletal and nervous system diseases, post-surgical conditions and congenital-acquired deformities; orthotic control and orthotic rehabilitation.
