Objectives of the Course |
Students who take this course should have knowledge and understanding about new technologies and forms of communication, gain the ability to critically examine the political, cultural and social dynamics of communication and information technologies in today's societies, that the new media environment is possible in today's societies from social, political, economic and cultural aspects. They are expected to examine the effects and consequences. |

Course Contents |
This course deals with the social, political, technological and economic dynamics of the new media environment and examines how these dynamics are reshaped by processes such as convergence and digitization. It deals with the transformation of internet governance, surveillance, globalization, participatory politics, identity formation, innovation and daily life practices in today's societies with new media. |
