Objectives of the Course
Our main goal is to be able to define the basic concepts of social work as well as the definition, purpose and function of social work, the emergence and development of social work, general social work, social work research, social work ethics and other disciplines, social work areas, to provide a general knowledge of social services such as knowledge, skills and values, and to read abundantly about these subjects.

3Comprehend the application areas, levels and basic approaches depending on the knowledge, value and skill elements that form the basis of social work.
4Defining Social Work as Science and Profession
5know the historical development of social services in the world and Turkey
6Gaining awareness of basic human needs and basic elements of social work
7Adoption and learning of social worker roles
8Have information about the causes of risk groups (child, elderly, disabled, family, female, group)
9Recognizes and knows risk groups in the world and Turkey.
10Provides cooperation between social institutions.
11Prepares and fills the required documents, records, documents and reports during the study.

The social work profession is an applied profession. Social Services should be a different derste under the name of reviewing the social service environments in parallel with the introduction course
Course Contents
The main aim of the course is to define the basic concepts of social work besides the definition and purpose of social service, the emergence and development of social service, social work, social work research, social work ethic and its relation with other disciplines, social work areas, social To give a general information about the application levels of the service, the knowledge, skills and value foundations of social work and to have a prior knowledge about these issues. Definition of Social Services in the course Purpose Functions, Basic Concepts, Roles of Social Workers, Social Services Emergence, Historical Development and in Turkey the world, Generalist Social and Ecological Perspectives, -Human Rights and Social Justice, Social Welfare, Social Policy and Social Work and Social Services, Social Work and Social Work as a Science and Profession, Relations with Other Disciplines, Social Worker's Knowledge, Skills and Value Dimensions, Social Work Ethics, Social Work Implementation Levels Social Work with Individuals, Families, Groups, Organizations and Society, Social Services, Child and Youth Welfare, Family Welfare, CSO, School Social Work, Social Services, Clinical Social Service, Medical and Psychiatric Social Work, Disability, Old Age, Social Services, Guilt, Poverty, Homeless, Immigration, Cultural Differences and Social service research issues will be discussed.
